Criteria for Passing / Revaluation, Improvement & Backlog / Promotion Policy

“Examinations @ St.Anns is not just a process to assess the standards of students through grades, but is a practice to assist them to understand what they need, and escort them to plan where they have to reach.”

  • Passing minimum for UG is 36% in ESE and 40% in aggregate (marks in the end semester and internal examination put together) for both theory and practicals.
  • Passing minimum for PG is 40% marks in ESE as well as in aggregate (marks in the end semester and internal examination put together) for both theory and practicals
  • Promotion from any odd semester is based on their attendance eligibility i.e registration for semester examination, and that from any even semester to the next subsequent odd semester depends on the passing criteria and clearance of at least 50% of the papers accumulated till that semest
  • Students can apply within the prescribed time limit for a revaluation (U.G.) or recounting (P.G.) of marks.
  • Improvement/Backlog

Aggregate 40 %

Permitted Backlogs: 50%
