Vision

To create an inclusive and thriving community where every student’s voice is heard, valued, and empowered to drive positive change.

Mission

Our mission is to be the students’ voice addressing their concerns and advocating their rights through constructive discussions. As college representatives, we aim to maintain discipline, decorum and fun within the college. We strive to be the bridge between the students and the management to make St. Ann’s as homely as possible.

Objectives

  1. Representing and Advocating for Student Interests: One of the primary objectives of a student council is to serve as a voice for the student body. This involves actively seeking out and understanding student concerns, needs, and interests, and advocating for them to the college administration and faculty.
  2. Organizing Events and Activities: Student councils often play a crucial role in planning and executing various events, such as cultural festivals, guest lectures, and social gatherings. These activities contribute to the overall college experience and foster a sense of community among students.
  3. Encourage Student Engagement: Cultivate a culture of active student engagement by organizing meaningful activities, events, and programs that promote learning, personal growth, creativity, and social interaction.
  4. Promote Inclusivity and Diversity: Embrace and celebrate the diversity of our college community. Create an environment that fosters inclusivity, respect, and understanding among all students, regardless of their backgrounds, cultures, abilities, or identities.
  5. Communication and Transparency: Ensure effective communication channels with students, keeping them informed about council activities, decisions, and opportunities for involvement. Transparency is crucial in gaining students’ trust and support.
  6. Collaboration with Student Organizations: Collaborate with various student clubs and organizations to support their initiatives and events. Act as a liaison between student groups and college administration to help address their needs and concerns.
  7. Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives: Promote eco-friendly practices on campus and advocate for sustainability initiatives to reduce the college’s environmental impact.
  8. Community Service and Social Responsibility: Encourage and facilitate community service projects, volunteering opportunities, and initiatives that give back to the local community. Foster a sense of social responsibility among students.
