2022-23

• The Department of Zoology sanctioned a grant of 22, 00,000/- under the DBT-Star College scheme project by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi for three years 2020-23.
• Divya Deepthimahanthi & Dr.Tasneem Jahan completed the research project sanctioned by NCERT and submitted a complete project report for evaluation to NCERT, New Delhi in the year 2022.
• Juvaria Azmath & Mrs.N.Kavya sanctioned a grant of 22,000/-for Ann’s research project in the year 2021-22 and it is still under process of completion.

2021-22

• The department got sanctioned a grant of 14,00,000/- under DBT star college scheme status in the year March 2019-20.The proposed activities under the scheme for the year 2021-22 has completed successfully and an annual report is submitted to DBT, New Delhi.
• Mrs Divya & Dr.Tasneem Jahan were sanctioned an amount of 5,19,750/- for the research project titled ‘’Development of Manual for Identification of Species in Mangrove Regions and its Implementation( F. No. 4-51 (786) /2019) sponsored by division of Educational Research, NCERT for the year 2020-22.
• Juvaria Azmath & Mrs.N.Kavya proposed for Ann’s Research Project (ARP) entitled ‘’Conservation of Birds in Twin cities’’ for the year 2021-22 & got sanctioned an amount of 22,000/-.

’’ Elucidation of In Vitro bioactivity of Avicennia marina leaf extracts funded by College as ARP.

2018-19

• Tasneem Jahan sanctioned a grant of 10,000/- titled Identification of Zooplanktons using foldscope (DBT).
