FIELD VISITS
2023-24
On February 14, 2024, MSc II Year students explored Ala Liberty Restaurant to deepen their understanding of food service management. Guided by Dr. Parul and Dr. Khushboo, they observed operational dynamics, menu planning, kitchen operations, customer interaction, and quality assurance practices. The visit facilitated practical learning and peer engagement, enriching their academic journey in hospitality management.
2022-23
In the academic year 2022-23, Ms. Urooja Birjis, Dr. Khushboo Vyas, and Ms. Shimaila, accompanied by 55 M.Sc. 1st-year students and PG diploma students, participated in a Campus Connect Programme as part of the CSR Initiative at KIMS, Secunderabad. This program aimed to provide students with a firsthand understanding of the operations of a multi-specialty hospital and its commitment to delivering top-notch medical services. The event took place on February 7, 2023.
2021-22
During the academic year 2021-22, students embarked on an enlightening field trip to All India Radio, Nampally. The trip comprised two significant events. Firstly, on February 28, 2022, a special Open Forum was organized in honor of National Science Day, featuring Dr. Hemalatha R, the esteemed Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, as the guest of honor. This provided students with a unique opportunity to engage with a prominent figure in the field of nutrition and science.
On March 8, 2022, in celebration of International Women’s Day, students were treated to another engaging Open Forum at All India Radio, Nampally. The event’s distinguished chief guest was Ms. Deepa Kiran, the accomplished Founder of Story Arts Foundation. Ms. Kiran, renowned internationally as a storyteller, educationalist, TEDx speaker, trainer, writer, actor, and filmmaker, brought a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to the occasion, leaving a lasting impact on the students.
2019-20
In the academic year 2019-20, various informative visits were organized for different batches of students.
- Masqati Dairy Farm in Turkayajmal, Nagarjuna Sagar Road, and the Parle G Factory in Saidabad, Hyderabad, Telangana on September 18, 2019, for B.Sc. 2nd-year students from NCB & NCZ.
- 48 students of M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics students visited Sid Farm on Chevella road, Tallapally, Hyderabad on December 16, 2019.
- A group of 90 students of B.Sc. 3rd-year students from NCB & NCZ had the opportunity to explore the Akshaya Patra Kitchen in Kandi, Sangareddy, Telangana on January 28, 2020, with
