St. Ann’s College for Women established a well structured Placement &Career Counseling Cell which is an integral part of the institution. The institute has complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the Placement & Career Counseling Cell. The PC Cell aims at improving the scope of the student towards becoming a corporate citizen. It prepares the students for the campus selections prospectively.  

The PC Cell is headed by an experienced placement officer as is well supported by both faculty members as well as student volunteers from all the streams. The main objective of PC Cell is to assist the students by arranging pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, JAM sessions, personal interviews, training for soft skills, industry visits etc.

  • Deloitte-Impact day on November 26, 2016 witnessed volunteers from Deloitte enhancing students skills on communication, analytical abilities, time management, interpersonal skills, personal productivity tools and interview coaching to gear them for future.
  • The Placement Cell has given the opportunity to the students to get registered with TASK ( Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge) This year total 40 students (UG & PG) are registered with the TASK. Every TASK registered student will be given online account on TASK portal to check their profile, access the e- learning content, online assessment tests and get the updates with respect to recruitment events. They can also attend the TASK sponsored training programmes offered by experienced trainers to train the students in employable skills at TASK registered students. TASK would conduct training workshops, seminars for certification programmes like Samsung, Oracle, Microsoft, etc. They are entitled to get discounts while registering for these certifications. 
  • Mrs P.Naga Kavitha - Placement Convener participated in TASK placement officers meet on October 21st and 22nd , 2016  and also participated in TASK Principal’s meet on 09-02-2017 where the Forum had discussion on placements for non-engineering students,  newly introduced certificate courses and Pros & Cons.
  • Placement Convener Mrs P.Naga Kavitha and attended a program on 23-08-2016 conducted by IBS to discuss the interface between Industry and Educational Institutions and how to bridge the gap….?
  • Career Counseling Cell is conducted 10 activities which includes seminars, workshops and guest lectures on various topics. In this academic year , 15 students of second year from different streams ( B.Sc(Phy)- 2, B.Com- 10, B.A- 3)  have undertaken the internship, offered by HSBC company.

The Placement & Career Counselling Cell has been organized coaching classes on Soft Skills and Quantitative Analysis to the registered students by Deloitte consultancy team members. Due to the classes held in our campus, many students were benefited. The recruiters also were impressed with the diverse views, out of the box thinking, enthusiasm and keenness shown by the students.
