SELF – St. Ann’s E-Learning FOCUS – ONLINE COMMITTEE

In view of COVID 19 Pandemic, Online Education has been introduced globally to achieve academic continuity. As Online education is a ‘’ NEED’’ in this Pandemic situation, all the faculty members has welcomed e- platform by implementing new methodologies in teaching which are readily accepted and liked by students.
To Prevent academic Loss and to provide quality education the College has Established a new Centre for Excellence – SELF – St. Ann’s e- Learning Focus in the year 2020-21 the team members of which includes Faculty representatives of various Disciplines. The team is headed by Dr. Nirmala Xavier, Dean , PG and Head, Dept of Mathematics.
The other team Members include Mrs Mahita, Dean Student Affairs from Dept of Commerce,
Mrs. Jyoti, Assistant Controller of Examinations and Head, Dept of Microbiology,
Dr. Saba, Dept of Mathematics, Ms. Nazia Fathima , Dept of Chemistry , Ms. Popy – Director, Center for Women’s Studies, Dr. Pratyusha from Dept of English, Mrs Keerthi – Head of Business Management (PG), and Mrs Bhavani from Dept of Commerce.

  • Faculty of Various disciplines –has well maintained e resources for the benefit of the students
  • All departments have created an exclusive google accounts for online classes
  • Each Department has a well maintained google drives
  • Faculty members of each department have added up their e content as PowerPoint presentation, you tube lectures, study material in the form of Word documents, PDF’s
  • The quality of e content being prepared by faculty is upgraded from time to time by adding up information.
  • All students were encouraged to involve themselves in various activities being organised by all departments like quiz, poster making contest, Webinars, Conferences, guest lectures.
  • Students were also encouraged to enrol themselves for various online courses through SWAYAM/MOOCs or any other sources. These short-term courses are more flexible, self-paced, and self-motivated thereby enhancing individual learning abilities.
