2024-25
- On 29th November 2024, Dr. D. Divya, along with the third-year students, visited Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools to conduct an awareness program on mosquito-borne diseases and their control. The session aimed to educate students about the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of diseases such as malaria, dengue, and chikungunya. The team actively engaged with the school students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining hygiene, eliminating mosquito breeding sites, and adopting protective measures. The interactive session also included demonstrations and discussions to enhance understanding and encourage proactive participation in mosquito control efforts.
2022-23
- An awareness programme “Beat the Blood Suckers” on spread of Mosquito borne diseases was conducted.
- An Open Day of Laboratory was organized for 9th standard students of Govt.HighSchool ,Bojagutta wherein students were given the tour of Museum Annimalia as well as practical exposure to laboratory procedures.
- The Department organized one month campaign on Conservation of birds to spread awareness on conservation of birds
2021-22
An awareness programme was conducted by the Department of Zoology on 2nd December, 2021. On the occasion of World Mosquito Day, the topic if which was “Beat the Blood Suckers”. The awareness programme was conducted by Online mode.2020-21

- Usage of Organic Manure produced by Vermicompost.
- To inculcate entrepreneurial qualities in students by promoting sale of Aquaria.
- To conduct awareness campaign on world mosquito day in the college to educate students and staff alike about mosquitoes and the diseases that they cause.
