The Department aims at providing students with excellent teaching to enhance their abilities to critically assess numerical and graphical information learn to formulate strategies for solving problems and acknowledge the importance of being intellectually smart.

- Encourage and implement new methodologies in teaching and evaluation through both online/offline modes.
- Use modern tools of educational technology to achieve higher standards and greater creativity.
- To promote academic excellence and inculcate the basic knowledge of mathematics through courses which develops abstract, logical and critical thinking.

- Math club: A distinctive club for advanced learners, in which every academic year Department focuses on thrust areas of Mathematics, various competitions are held , students are trained with essential skills required for an intuitive understanding towards clearing various competitive examinations.
- Puzzle of the Week: One of the unique feature of the Department where ,Every week a puzzle is put up on the notice board and also posted in college website.

Math Minds:.Carrier Oriented Course : The main Objective of Math Minds is to provide quality education, expand & enrich the knowledge of students. The curriculum is designed to develop student skills, so that they realize their potential, expertise & prepare for the next step in their career
Math Minds focuses on Tips, Tricks, and Techniques keeping in mind the time management so that the students develop problem solving skills to become more self reliant to crack M.Sc Entrance exams, NET, SET ,TSPSC/APPSC.
Wall magazine: Department Wall Magazine is an ideal platform for students to
realize their creative potential and hone their writing skills. The competition includes
articles and paper cuttings contributed by students reflecting their ideas and
aspirations. The best presentation is awarded at the end of the year.
