Best Practices
- ICT@Dept: The Department since inception was involved in computerizing
various activities in the college which includes admission, examination, office data,
and multimedia presentations and in building of ICT, NRC cells. The latest in
autonomy being developing an MIS project on college faculty and student related
information, an Android App for sharing Department Information – Hosted on
Playstore, Android App for Placement cell. The dept. connects with students via –
unique mail-id, technical blog, website, Google classrooms and has computerized various course’s (SOC, COC, IDC) information. The department makes extensive use of ICT in everyday teaching and learning process. The department endeavours to use digital resources and platforms optimally to complement regular teaching learning process. - Outreach @Dept: “Ubiquitous computing” being the Vision, the department’s outreach activities over the years included conducting awareness/training sessions for school children, staff (teaching and non-teaching). ICT support for college activities and other dept.’s as and when required is provided by our staff.
- Academic Approach: The Department has good infrastructure support and strives to give its academic best to the students. The staff is upgrading in their qualification & amp; research and in rendering of teaching content. They are involved in guiding &mentoring students. Result in examination and placements have been consistently good over the years. The staff is actively involved in college related activities.
- Student Centric Approach: The department believes in students developing a wholesome personality, as such conducts a number of student centric activities which include workshops, seminars, conferences, life skills sessions, competitions, internships, projects , encourage research activity and so on. Our Alumni placed in various organizations are doing well which is a testimonial of our dept. efforts.
- The department is collaborating with ICT centre to implement e-waste management solution. E-waste is being collected, segregated and handed over to external agencies to dispose of it in a eco-friendly manner.
