2 | Awareness on Conservation of Energy at Traffic Signals | 10.12.2024 |
3 | Awareness on Conservation of Energy as Skit @ College | 11.12.2024 |
4 | Awareness on Conservation of Energy to all students at St. Ann’s | 13.12.2024 |
Objective:
- To raise awareness among the student community on the importance and benefits of energy conservation for the economy, environment and society.
- To highlight the relationship between efficient traffic management and environmental conservation, emphasizing the role of reduced traffic congestion and lower emissions in protecting the environment.
 Summary:
- On December 9, 2024, the Department of Physics and Electronics organized an awareness program on energy conservation at two schools—G Pulla Reddy and HPS.A group of nine students from our college visited these schools to educate students about the importance of energy conservation, its environmental and economic benefits, and practical energy-saving habits. The students shared valuable insights on how small actions, like turning off unused lights and using energy efficient appliances, can lead to significant reductions in energy consumption and carbonÂ

- On December 10, 2024, the Department of Physics and Electronics organized an energy conservation awareness campaign aimed at promoting eco-friendly practices in traffic. Eight students from our college actively participated in this initiative by visiting the Mehdipatnam traffic They engaged with the public, spreading awareness about the importance of energy conservation, reducing fuel consumption, and adopting sustainable practices while on the road. Through their efforts, the students highlighted the significance of efficient traffic management, and the role individuals can play in minimizing environmental impact, contributing to both energy conservation and safer traffic conditions. This campaign emphasized the need for collective responsibility in promoting sustainability within our daily commuting routines.

- On December 11th and 13th, 2024, the Department of Physics and Electronics organized a skit, speech and a flash mob on energy conservation, delivered by students of MPCs and MECs, an energy conservation awareness campaign and speech by Ms. Haneefa(BSc MPCs III), during the assembly at our college’s first In the skit, the students enacted two generations and mother Earth. The urgent message for the need to act now was well delivered with selective dialogues and actions. It delivered the message of how the future generations would suffer due to our careless actions now and how every right action no matter how small they seem will positively impact the lives of our future generations. In her speech, Haneefa highlighted the importance of energy conservation and its relevance in everyday life, both at home and in college. She emphasized the necessity of adopting energy-saving habits, such as turning off unused lights, using energy-efficient appliances, and minimizing wasteful energy consumption.
