Department Social Responsibility
- Awareness Programme on Menstrual Cups on 25th July 2020: An awareness Programme on Menstrual Cups was conducted by the Department of Physics & Electronics on Menstrual Cups for the final year MPCs and MECs students on 25th July 2020. Ms.W. Jaya, Faculty, Department of Physics & Electronics gave a talk on the harmful effects of sanitary pads, tampons etc on the environment and enlightened the students on the availability of various eco-friendly products that are easily available in the market, that are not only environment friendly but also pocket friendly. The students gave positive feedback on the need to be more responsible towards the environment.
- Few students of MPCs/MPCs II and III of the department, after undergoing training on Robotics, visited various government schools to teach robotics to school children.
- Contributed financially towards educational needs of children(SPG Tamil Cathedral)
- The department of Physics & Electronics is actively involved in conducting demonstration of practicals to various school children
