Objectives
The Department aims at academic excellence by recognizing the potential in students and providing:
- The knowledge of accounting principles, information technology and their application in different business situations.
- To acquaint students with managerial skills and techniques of basic mathematical skills and statistical analysis.
- To analyze economic policies and statutory laws applicable to trade, industry and business.
- To acquire knowledge of International business procedures and meet challenges of changing business environment.
- To connect to industry channels for exposure necessary to respond to the ever changing world order

- Consumer Cell will be involved in
- Organizing consumer awareness programs
- Guest lectures on consumer rights
- Competitions for students on consumer awareness
- Entrepreneurship Development (ED) cell: Promotes Self employment by organizing various student level workshops ,orientations, competitions relating to Entrepreneurship for skill development
- CHEErs Club : The Commerce House of Emerging Entrepreneurs (CHEE’rs), Club, a wing of the Department of Commerce works with the motto, “Knowledge is Investment”. A Voluntary Association of commerce students functions for the betterment of its members by
- Inculcating entrepreneurial skills in young minds
- Sensitizing them to the needs of the society
- Cooperative Stores – is run by the students to avail the huge discounts obtained by bulk purchasing. The activity is carried out in the beginning of the academic year.
- Tax consultancy Unit –Students are involved in filing income tax returns of the staff under the faculty guidance as a lab activity where the student learns by doing.
