2022-2023

  • As part of Community Service 270 BSc Chemistry Final Year students actively participated in Skill development project on the occasion of National Chemistry week 2022 to impart free chemistry education to more than 40 Government and Non-government schools benefitting 2500 school children with hands-on training and Chemistry Kits.
  • Live Chemistry Show on ‘Mysteries in Chemistry’ to experience the joy of learning chemistry for students of BA, BCom, BSc as part of National Chemistry Week, October 2022.
  • Hands on Training Workshop – GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICES for support staff and students of SEC Course (10th – 11th August, 2022), Resource Person – Dr.Naresh Kumar Katari, GITAM University.
  • Day Faculty Exchange Programme Under Cluster College Scheme with RBVRR Women’s College (23/08/2022 – 27/08/2022)
  • Five – Day National Awareness Drive on Pollution Control In Collaboration With IIC – IQAC, St. Ann’s College For Women (5/12/2022-9/12/2022).
  • 4-Day Student Exchange Programme (14/11/2022-17/11/22)
  • 9 students of PG Program have presented papers in “Recent advances in Green and sustainable chemical Sciences” at St Pious X Degree and PG college for women on 20th and 21st January

  • 280 BSc Final Year students authored a large book titled ‘Chemistry@ A Glance’ under the guardianship of Ms. Nazia Fathima, Mrs. Beverly John and Mrs. Vasavi, Assistant Professors @Chemistry
  • Syeda Noorein Fatima, BSc GCM II Year(R19 Batch) has been selected for GLOBAL UPGRAD EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2020-2021.

  • Ammanni Das and Dr. Narjis Fatima successfully filed a patent on Synthesis of metal complexes of a ligand 1,1’ –(5,5’- (1e, 1’e)- 1,1’-(propane-1,3- diylbis) azan-1-yl-1-ylidene))bis(ethan-1-yl-1-ylidene)bis(2,4-dihydroxy-5,1phenylene)diethanone.(PDEDPD), 10th October 2020

  • Workshop on “Modern Analytical techniques in Organic Chemistry” on 2nd November 2019 in Association with Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC-LSD)
  • Wet lab Championship.com in association with IIT Madras organized a workshop on ‘Recent trends in Chemistry’ on 6th and 7th August 2019.
  • Khairunnisa Amreen and Dr. Narjis fatima successfully filed a patent on Green synthesis of electroactive CuO nanoclusters from phenolic extract of pisum sativum peel, 13-03-2020.

2018- 2019

  • Razia Sheikh, Ms.Sajida won Samsung J7 as II Prize in Sambodh Quiz organized by SIVA Sivani Institute of Management.

2022- 2023

  1. Mrs. M. Sujatha was awarded gold medal on 05-09-2023 (Teachers’ day) instituted by Dr. Nirmala Xavier Dean student affairs (PG), H.O.D. Department of Mathematics St. Ann’s College for Women for publishing maximum research papers from the PG department.
  2. Dr. Narjis Fatima received the Women Researcher Award from the International Scientist Awards on Engineering Science and Medicine INSO AWARDS on 04-11-2022.
  3. Dr. Khairunnisa Amreen received “Women in Sensors” IEEE Sensors Council Hyderabad Chapter.
  4. Ms. Nazia Fathima, Mrs. Beverly John, Mrs. Vasavi, Recipient of India Book of Records in recognition of Compiling a large size Book Titled ‘Chemistry @ A Glance’ along with 280 BSc Chemistry Final Year Students.
  5. Dr. Narjis Fatima was invited as a Judge on the Occasion of “Save Soil Movement” , Organized by the Department of Chemistry in collaboration with NSS unit , Madina Degree and PG College for Women on 23-09-2022.
  6. The Chemistry Club is Recognised for its outstanding contributions towards community service by ILM Foundation – Science Academy.

  • M. Sujatha-NAARI SHAKTHI received the Young Woman Researcher Award 2022.
  • G. Sowmya Devi received NAARI SHAKTHI- Best Woman Academician Award 2022.
  • Khairunnissa Amreen is a recipient of Research Excellence in Electrochemistry Award-2022 on the eve of National science day, Red talks international and IMRF(international multidisciplinary research foundation).

2019-20                                              

  • K.R. Radhika, Associate Professor, Head, Department of Chemistry and Dean Student Affairs is a recipient of Telangana State Meritorious Teacher Award by Government of Telangana in September 2019.
  • C. Vijaya Valli, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry and Additional Controller of Examinations, was felicitated for completion of 25 years of dedicated service.
