Library as learning Resource Centre:

The St. Ann’s College for Women Library has been emerging as a Knowledge Resource Centre mainly catering to the needs of the Faculty, Students and Research Scholars towards accessing information. The library stocks textbooks, reference books, periodicals, rare books and journals audio video lectures and projects reports. The Library subscribes to more than 106 national and international journals and has very large collection of reference books on advanced disciplines that are aimed at developing students beyond their normal curriculum.

          The Library books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. The Library was computerized by using Barcode technology, OPAC (On-Line Public Access catalogue) facility is also provided.

🚷 Rules and Regulations

  • Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
  • Maintained absolute silence and strict discipline in the library.
  • No discussion permitted inside the library.
  • Do not carry any eatables in the library.
  • Keep your bags and other belongings at the property counter near the entrance.
  • Students can carry Mobile Phones but using it is strictly prohibited in the library.
  • Textbooks, printed materials and issued books are not allowed to be taken inside the library.
  • Books borrowed should be returned on or before the due date stamped, if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period.
  • If the books are lost, then the students shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay full cost of the book after getting permission from the librarian.
