IQAC is instrumental in planning and implementation of various academic enrichment and other activities and to provide a holistic development of the students. The representatives from industry and academia in the IQAC lend their expertise and experience,and provide direction to quality initiatives. An agenda of total quality viewpoint has made a profound effect on the institutional perception of qualitative planning and IQAC is always eager to innovate, ideate and implement. In the year 2016 – 17 focus of IQAC was to develop realistic and attainable quality benchmarks for each of the academic and administrative activities. Following is a glimpse of IQAC @ St Ann’s

  • Induction program for freshers and Orientation Programs for 2nd and 3rd year students .
  • Faculty immersion program for new faculty was organised. Prof. L. Sai Kumar, (Ex Dean, IPE) was the resource person.
  • Coordinated/facilitated meetings of Deans, staff – teaching and admin, Various academic and administrative committees, Centres, Exam cell, and Planning and Evaluation committee,BOS, Academic Council and Governing body
  • SQAC installation
  • The college welcomed S Ignatius Suman, Provincial superior, and Dr. Sr. Anthony Mary and Sr. Inyasamma for institutional external audit.
  • Students seminars were organized on Young Woman to Lead Change, Effective communication and Self-Motivation
  • Internal Academic and Administrative Audit was conducted.
  • A National Seminar “Benchmarking practices for Quality Enhancement” was organized. The speakers were Mr. Ponmudiraj, Deputy Advisor, NAAC, Bangalore, Chaya, IQAC Coordinator, S.Nijalingappa College, Bengaluru.
  • Seminar on Public Relations and office Technology for Administrative staff were organized. The speaker were Dr. Ram, Editor, ASCI and Mr. Narayana Murthy, V. Senior Manager, Training & Operations, Bhavitha Foundation.
  • Seminar on Awareness on Health- Post Menopause and Interpersonal Skills & Time Management “for Auxillary staff. The speakers were Prof. T. Srinivas, Academic Coordinator, Ambedkar Open University.
  • IQAC and NCC organized a Five day workshop on life skillsfor students in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Affairs , Chandigarh.
  • Yoga demonstration for entire staff was held.
  • New feedback questionnaires were prepared and data was collected offline and online.
  • Legal aid cell under the patronage of The City Civil Court Legal Services Authority, Hyderabad is in process.

  • A nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters in various activities of the institution.
  • Dissemination of information on quality aspects.
  • Organization of discussions, workshops, seminars and promotion of quality circles.
  • Recording and monitoring quality measures of the institution.

  • Autonomy and its implications on 16th November 2013 by Dr. Chitralekha Ramachandran, Dean, Academics, Dept. of Biotechnology


  • NAAC Peer team visit

The NAAC peer team visited the college from 13th to 15th Sep. 2012 and interacted with all the faculty members, administrative and support staff, Parents and Alumni, IQAC members. They visited all the departments, centers, cells, clubs and other facilities. Recognizing the vision, plan, processes and performance the college was awarded an “A” grade with CGPA of 3.41in Jan 2013.

  • A Faculty level seminar was organized by IQAC on 16th March, 2013 to acquaint all the staff with the methodology, processes, strengths and associated problems regarding autonomy.

  • Abdul Kalam’s visit –
  • The students and faculty members attended a lecture “I am born with wings” by former President of India A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on 30th July 2012
  • A seminar titled ‘Our Tomorrow’‘Career Opportunities’‘Positive thinking and Skin & Hair care was conducted for all final year students belonging to life science stream s on 21st July, 2012. The resource person was Dr. Ratnakar, Mr. GopiPidatala, CEO, Oliva Hospitals and Ms. Rajitha, Dermatologist, OlivaHospitals .
  • A UGC sponsored 2 day state level workshopon “ Recombinant DNA Technology-Cutting edge in Life Sciences was organised
