Women to prove their mettle in this complex world of Information Technology


Objectives

Make St.Ann’s conspicuous nationally for the innovative ways in which it extends fundamental computing ideas and not just computers to all its students.
To provide technologies and communications network that provides access to information at the finger tips
To increase the women employability in IT and ITES industry.
Honing the intellectual and logical skills of its students
To aim for complete personality development with computational skills, soft skills and emotional skills.


Highlights

“AnnoTech”- It is a departmental event which helps students in honing their IT skills. It comprises of various activities like

Quiz Programmes Questions related to IT and current IT trends are posed.
Programming Contests For I years Programming Contest is held in areas like C,C++,JAVA. For II and III years mini-applications are given for the contest.

Centre for excellence in “Dot Net”
Through this centre the department interacts with several organizations in the industry and emphasize on the best practices and standards followed by them. Various workshops are conducted on this technology by the centre. Learning Beyond Curriculum -The C Odyssey
This program focuses on skill enhancement and value enrichment. It emphasizes on the Transition of ‘C’ through ‘C++’ concepts, thereby improving the students logical skills. Diya - A Community Service

‘To bring a smile on somebody’s face some where’
It is a help group formed to sensitize the students to the needs of the under privileged in society. A charity box is provided where students and staff contribute money on their birthdays, festivals and special occasions which is utilized for outreach activities.

Teaching through demonstrations with “Touch, See, Hear – Analyse” concepts.
Competitions on Web Application Development, G.D, Quiz programmes
Mini applications and case studies are given to students, where a conceptual framework is analysed, designed and then developed.
