To provide quality education offering value and skill based programs and motivate the students for self employment.

Objectives

In tune with the institutional objectives, the Department aims at achieving  the following:     

  1. To impart the basic knowledge of various branches of Zoology such as Systematics, Morphology, Anatomy, Embryology, Genetics, Evolution, Animal Physiology,Ecology, Fisheries, Animal Biotechnology, Zoogeography,Animal Behaviour, Cell and Molecular Biology, Vermiculture and Vermicomposting, Aquarium Maintenance,Women Health etc. So that they can use this course as a launching pad to pursue advance studies in modern and contemporary fields.
  2. To provide skills and knowledge in observation, Techniques in biology, Experimental skills and scientific investigation to promote research.
  3. To inculcate the value and importance of vast diversity of living organisms, their adaptations and importance of biodiversity.

Zephyr is the news letter published by the Department every year which includes all the activities done by the Staff and the students in the academic year.
