Best Practices

Department of Microbiology flagged off in 1988 to share and propagate technological and biological milestones associated with tiny beasts called The Microbes.

Department introduced two undergraduate programmes MCB & MCZ not to disconnect from the traditional sciences i.e. Botany & Zoology.

The enthusiasm, ambition and aspirations of the students under the experienced and dedicated guidance of staff gave the required impetus to make Microbiology a very popular and interesting course. As a result, a new undergraduate programme Genetics, Chemistry & Microbiology (GCM) was added in the academic year 2004.

At present the department has three undergraduate programmes (MCB,MCZ & GCM) .
